OOAK Nicole Kidman Repaint on Ebay

Happy Saturday doll folk!

I wanted to share my OOAK Tonner Mrs. Coulter Nicole Kidman repaint which is up on eBay now. The auction ends Monday. View the auction HERE

Nicole has such a piercing gaze and an intense look that I tried to capture. I think she’s one of the most interesting faces in Hollywood :o) I really enjoyed painting Nicole, (surrounded by pictures of her of course, lol!) I hope you like her and will cruise over to eBay and check out her auction!

Have an excellent weekend all!

Frankie Stein Monster High Repaint :o)

Well……. I didn’t think I would, but I have kind of been taken in by the Monster High girls! I thought I was immune to these dolls, but, apparently not, lol! I just couldn’t resist painting them :o)

I have finished a Frankie Stein repaint. These ladies are quite addictive and are a joy to paint. Here’s Frankie before…

Off with her face!  O.o

And so we begin :o) We’ll start with some subtle pastel shading in blues, greys and pinks…

I considered mauve-ish eyes, but she really wanted blue. So blue it is! Maybe the next girl will get mauve ;o)

Here she is almost finished…..

She still has no eyebrows or eyelashes in the above pic and her lips need more work…..

I decided to leave all of her Frankenstitiching on her body, though I did remove the one on her face. She’s still Frankie Stein to me, so I wanted to leave some of her Frankie-ness intact :o)

Here she is finished sealed and as she appears on eBay…

This ooak Frankie repaint is up on eBay for a five day run. You can view the listing HERE

Now there’s a little matter of a Draculaura that needs attention :o)

Thanks for reading and have a great night!

~Opening Night!~ Outfit for Dawn and Pippa

Happy 2012 to all!

I know I’ve been quite neglectful of the blog in the last six weeks or so.  First I was away for  a few weeks, then the Christmas and New Year’s holidays kept us hopping around here! We’re only just getting back to normal routines again.

I have been hard at work on a long term project that is near and dear to my heart. I am very close to finishing but as luck would have it, ran out of a key component! I have ordered what I need, but who knows how long that will take. …sigh…  Work on that stage of the project is stalled until the postman makes me a happy girl again, lol!

Not that there aren’t lots of other fun things to do in the studio. I mean there’s never a dull moment :o)

I found a very 60’s retro looking gold and ivory weave that I just had to work in for Dawn and Pippa. I mean it looks like a fabric Topper and Palitoy might actually have used! Not easy to work with though. It’s a wild one, lol! Frays like nobody’s business… all edges had to be carefully edged, enclosed and otherwise tamed.

I did a long form fitting sleeveless sheath dress with a quilted ivory satin short jacket with a fur collar and finished the look off with a  pretty charm purse with a gold chain strap. It’s up on eBay now.

~Opening Night!~ on eBay

Right, now to go and find something else to do…. maybe I’ll just go and sit on the porch and wait for the postman, lol!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
