A Doll for a Doll ~ooak sculpted tiny~ by awsumgal

I’ve been indulging in the quite small recently. I don’t know why I am so drawn to the very small, but I confess, I am.

I have long wanted to try out some of the clays I see other doll makers use and so I finally overcame inertia and began sculpting a small doll. The idea was to make a fashion doll for my fashion dolls. I liked the thought of my high fashion girls having a high fashion doll of their own.

I was pleasantly surprised at the result :)

She is a strung doll with 10 points of articulation and with a little fiddling, can stand on her own. I have painted on her lingerie and stockings but her double skirt, one layer pink fur, the other layer pale pink tulle, are removeable. She has delicately painted features and a tiny hardcap mohair brunette wig. She is completely sculpted by hand using no molds and so is truly one of a kind. Made entirely of clay, she has been fully body blushed and all of her paint and blushwork is sealed with multiple coats of varnish.

Here she is prepaint. She’s sculpted and strung, but that it. She’s next to a vintage 6 inch Topper Dawn doll.

What are you in for?

The wig was difficult on this small a scale. I may take a different approach next time :) I think she looks cute bald too, but I can always make her another wig!

Tiny doll, big style :)

Just about four inches tall :)

My lovely basic Devon is enjoying having her around, I think, lol….

Devon and Bisou by awsumgal

Having a little chat :)

I have named this little one Bisou!

I think she’s pretty even without hair!

I think I shall make another as this was so enjoyable! Wish me luck :)

Thanks for reading and HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!!!!
